Now don't be surprised when you hear these bits of wisdom. This knowledge was built over time. One helpless moment after another. Many, many flights.
What you need:
ZipLock Baggie
What to Put In the Ziplock Baggie:
Playdoh (mini works great-make animals, balls, letters)
Bubbles (blow them - if passenger comments - ask if they would rather hear crying)
Straws and Cotton Balls (Blow cotton balls)
Wiki Sticks
Lolli Pops
Mini marshmallows (build with them, eat them)
toothpicks (rounded end) and something styrofoam (poke with toothpics)
balloons (blow them up, tie use as ball - don't tie play with air in and out of balloon)
punch balloons
new small toys from dollar store
bubble gum (for you - you blow bubbles, crack gum)
take one thing out at a time and play with it as long as possible before moving to next "surprise"
So that's my trick to flying with a toddler....
And wearing "my shirt" I DONT WANT TO SIT NEXT TO YOU EITHER... can help ease the tension!
