It is strawberry season in California! We moved here six months ago (from Arizona) and I am loving strawberry season :) Strawberries are sold on the side of the road... you can pick your own... you can buy them in the grocery store for practically nothing... fresh strawberry pies are advertised at all the local bakeries and perhaps my favorite... fresh strawberry mohitos! Yummy! We even purchased a strawberry plant! Gives me a whole new respect for strawberries. Do you realize how long it takes just one little strawberry to grow? Wel,l we have had this bush like, mess of a plant for a few months and not one normal sized strawberry. But I think we got a mini strawberry plant. Is this possible? Because the only strawberries I see are super small! It could be that my two giant dogs get to the strawberries before we see them. It has become quite a mystery. We have a blueberry plant... think that has yielded 3 blueberries. Really I have a whole new respect for fruit :)
